Props to the BOSS!
Props to the BOSS!
Oct 16Today many people in our country celebrate BOSS’s DAY… wiki says, “Boss’s Day (also known as National Boss Day) is a secular holiday celebrated on October 16 in the United States. It has traditionally been a day for employees to thank their boss for being kind and fair throughout the year”. As a result, bosses (presidents, ceo’s, managers, etc) have received special lunches, kind words and hallmark cards.
We, as Christians, have a GREAT boss … that is, IF we let Him be our boss. Oh sure, we want to accept Jesus as Savior – that’s logical. We want Him to SAVE us from our sin, our past and hell. It’s really a no-brainer. But He must be more than Savior for our salvation to be complete.
HE MUST BE SAVIOR AND LORD.
Lord = BOSS. He must be in charge of EVERYTHING. He does NOT work for us. Although much of our prayer life is spent telling Him where to be, what to do, how to work and when to look the other way or leave us alone. Friends, it doesn’t work that way. IF He’s not Lord of ALL, He’s not Lord at all.
Today would be a great day to evaluate how you really view & respond to your relationship with Christ. To remind yourself that you were created to submit, surrender and serve. He is the greatest, Lord, Boss, Master, King and President! There should be no hesitation in listening to Him, obeying Him, trusting Him and loving Him. He’s beyond good, kind & fair – He’s great, incredible and giving!
HIS NAME IS JESUS!
“… at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:10-11.
Yes, the whole world has a “Boss’s Day” coming someday where they will all recognize that Jesus IS THE BOSS. Don’t wait for that day to come. Tell Him NOW… more importantly show Him and tell others!!
Lovin’ on MY BOSS, chilly

I always love it when you repeatedly keep bringing up that Jesus is more than Savior, but also Lord. Its not enough just to say it once a year, but several times a year and more. He has to be the boss of my entire life, not just when I want him to be. Entirely.
This is a full-full-time job for the best Boss ever!
Thanks for the reminder, I think I am going not only going to thank THE BOSS but also the other bosses in my life.
Thanks!
i’m hanging out with my BOSS tonight and redoing my mission statment…. to see how i can be better at the priorities he has put in front of me!
It is so humbling that God would save us, make Himself our boss and use us to serve him… I will honor the “Boss” with my life every day he gives me!
