A New Day in Hamtown!

Today, we (Real Church) made the transition to our new leadership team in Hamtramck. This means that it’s day-to-day ministries and operations are now under the leadership of Pastor TJ Reid. He and his wife Jess have an amazing team of servants that are eager & ready to step-up and serve this city. I won’t pretend to act like it’s not tough handing over the church that God called me to plant … I definitely feel mixed emotions – all of my ‘midtown team’ – many who started Hamtown w/us had tears in their eyes watching others step into their positions & leadership.
Yet, it is right. We are obedient. And, we are joyful.
God called me to plant churches (plural) and despite not having our next building, I heard God say: “It is me… don’t be afraid… Come!” ~ these are the words Jesus spoke to Peter as He walked on the water. Upon hearing it, Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the very thing satan wanted to drowned him in. He did the impossible. Did he mess up and start to sink? Yes. But, when he did, Jesus reached out and took him by the hand and walked him back to the boat.
Well, today, I’m out there. Walking on the unknown, unreached, impossible destiny of God. I’m joining Him – believing for miracles & many, MANY salvations! I’m committed to keep my eyes on Jesus instead of the waves & winds of the world or the words & doubts of those in the boat (church).

Pray for a new building/venue for our midtown church in Detroit. Pray for provisions (money) - you can give too. Pray for the lost of Detroit. Join us in the mission in reaching this city.
It’s a new day in Hamtown. I’m so thankful that He is still Lord!

I love you Pastor Chilly – you truly have set us up to succeed with God on our side – here in Hamtown. And we’re praying for the Midtown Miracle – it will be and IS a church built on Jesus. I’m believing we’ll say real soon – “The Lord has done it and it is marvelous in our eyes”.
I second Pastor TJ’s words. Thanks for stepping out on faith for Midtown. Stepping out with you. Praying, believing, praising Jesus for what we already see and don’t yet see.

Praying for God’s Provision. When God gives the vision, he will always follow with the resources. Thanks for stepping out in faith. God will honor that.
